It was the Cameron Hall charity vigil last night/this morning and I was in charge of UniSFA's screening. I chose vampires as the theme, and we watched a heap of movies (Bram Stoker's Dracula, Let the Right One In, Blade, Interview with the Vampire, From Dusk till Dawn & The Lost Boys) and a few Buffy episodes (The Zeppo; Hush; Buffy vs Dracula & Once More, With Feeling!). People seemed to enjoy it - at least I hope they did. I got home around 10 this morning, had a shower and eventually managed to get a few hours sleep. I'm now still tired but probably won't be able to get to sleep again for a while.

Panto seems to be getting there, though we need to get started on the song and dance soon. We're starting filming for videos tomorrow. Check out the Facebook event.

I have many assignments.

Hey so Panto's coming along.  I was cast as Tweedledee XD
I was voted UniSFA fresher rep, (dispite technically being third-year, it's apparently open to whoever's a UniSFA newbie).
I saw Watchmen a couple of times last week.  I still have yet to read it, and apparently they left lots of stuff out.  But I liked it very much.  I want a macro/gif icon to be made of the hair twirl that's used in all the advertisements that says, "Because I'm worth it."

I have lots of reading which I cbf to do :/  To procrastinate, I watched the latest ep of House, M.D. (my comment is the same as usual; funny and awesome, but needs moar Chase).  There were bits with Wilson which referenced eps in season 1 - one being monster trucks, and another which might be too much of a spoiler so I won't post - which makes me happy.  Hooray continuity!  I have S5 of Six Feet Under which I haven't yet watched.  Though I'm afraid if I start that, I won't stop, and I need to do my readings/assignments at some point.  Eh.

One of my communications units, Designing Virtual Play, looks awesome - we play games in workshops and create them and have a voluntary assassins tournament going on.  The other one requires me to rewrite a fairy tale, fable or myth that has some sort of 'significance' to me.  Any ideas, people?  What fairy tale is significant to me?

Cobra/TAI.../Panic in four days! :D

Lindz got early entry and a Panic meet & greet! *Jealous* How exciting!!! XP

Expect a ridiculously long and probably boring recap afterwards, as per usual. (See also: BDO, MCR, FOB, LP, Soundwave recaps)

In other news, I had to work from 6:30AM this morning, which meant walking to work in the freezing cold at 6:15AM.  Joy.

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.

1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicise those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them ;-)

Haven't updated here in a while. Oops.
Went to toga party on Saturday.  It was pretty awesome. Check the pics on Facebook.  TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
I got another helix piercing, this time in the other ear.  It's hard to sleep since I prefer to sleep on the left, which brings the pain atm.  But lying on the right feels weird.  Total holes in ears: 8.  XP

Yeah.  Not much to update, really.  Besides my 3984895389 ASSignments to do.

Man, so many peeps getting married.  Family friends, Ellen, PWentz.  *Sits back to await her inevitable proposal*

Dear MSN:

F.O.D.

Thanks,
Sal.

Seriously, why won't it work?! It's been like this for me since last night! D:

Work:  Also F.O.D. Plz.

Giving me shifts today when I have an exam tomorrow [Psych, and OMG so so SO screwed], then on Wednesday about an hour after I finish another exam.  Then on Saturday when I still have to study for the two exams on Tuesday (Anthropology being the one I'll probably screw up the most) - and they'll probably have me on Monday again, God-damnit.

1: Find the lyrics to your favorite song
2: Go to http://babelfish.altavista.com
3: Run the song through the English to Japanese translator
4: Copy it and then run it through the translator again, this time from Japanese to English.
5: Post the song (title and performer included please) along with these directions in your own journal.

Not my absolute fav but I could tell that it'd be hilarious:

LMAO

In other news:

  • Spidey 3 OMFG LOL!
  • First exam on Tuesday.  THIS IS SPARTAaaaaah!
  • Fall Out Boy is coming to Perth in September.  Yayz!
  • Song guessing is still on and will be until after exams.  Get guessing peeps.
  • I am procrastinating waaaay too much.
  • My attitude to exams is blah.
  • Sarah is throwing stuff at me.
    • Cats defenestrate early in the morning.
    • Word: Excruciating (v). Used in a sentence: The pain was so huge, she started excruciating.
  • Jess is telling Dan to get back in his box.
    • Sure, I'm procrastinating, but at least I'm not procrastibating.
    • Jess jus bit Sarah on the inner thigh. Not suss...
  • Dan has taken over typing, so obviously the 'events' are just turning into fantasies.  EG: Now Sarah and Jess are groping each other.
    • My fantasies? Yeah, nothing suss is happening right now. Totally in my mind. Woah, it's distracting as hell, though. And... Sarah just slapped Jess.
  • Jess licked Sarah on the cheek.  I'm starting to think it's no longer just a fantasy, but a reality. (dun Dun DUNNNN)
    • I guess this is some kind of weird running commentary.
  • So much for the, "ten minute study break..."
    • Good point. We'd better start studying now. Also, you'd better post this or I'm eating your children.
    • BRB, out of battery.
  • I don't have any children.... :s
  • Or do I...? (dun Dun DUNNNN)

The par-tay was held in the place right next door to Sarah, but she wasn't home (or answering her mobile.  sl$%khjo78io1yyean&bkj FTL WHY DOES SHE NEVER TURN IT ON FFS?!) Boo.  We played circle of death and I ended up the one who had to drink the jug of mixed booze.  Also played YEEEHAW and something else which I don't know the name of, but included clapping and animals.

Good times.  Good times.

AFK!

I will probably be gone for about a week, since I'm in a Pantomime (A type of play. Not a mime) and it's opening night tonight (Thursday) and it runs until Saturday.  2057: A Time Odyssey... In 3D.   7:30pm at the Dolphin, which is next to the Octagon.  Tickets available at the door. [/pimp]

On top of this, and Uni during the day, I have work on Sunday (morning after the after-party.  Crap), and a research essay due Monday that I haven't started.  So yeah, I'll be busy and won't be on LJ for a while.  See ya after the *apocolypse!

*(read: when my essay is due)

Love you all!  (But will love you more if you come see the play!  Go oooon!  We apparently get heckelled by UDS and others.  Funfun!  UDS are coming tonight.  Yay --_--)

It's like 10:35pm, I have a Psychology lab report due tomorrow, and I've still done next to nothing on it.  Arg.  I suck. I blame livejournal.  (Perhaps I can file a lawsuit?)  I've also been bitched out that I don't update enough.  Pffft. Perhaps because there's nothing interesting happening?

Looks like this little piggy will be staying up all night.  And not in a good way.

Oh and I got a laptop!  MacBook, the black 13 inch one.  Now I just have to begin the (long) process of paying back the Parental Units.  And hopefully learn some Photoshop skills, because seriously, when the only thing you can do is clouds, difference clouds and lens flare (badly) something is seriously wrong.  I'd like to try making icons but right now with my suck-factor, it's totally not an option.

PantoSoc's 2057: A Time Odyssey... In 3D is on the 26th, 27th and 28th of April.  You'd better all come!

I think LP's single What I've Done will grow on me eventually.  Like mould.  Right now however all I can think is that Chester looks like Bono - in fact the video has a very Vertigo-esque feel about it...  Whatever.  So long as Brad still has his Jewfro.  I've also been listening to lots of Fall Out Boy's Infinity On High

AUGH WHY AM I EVEN ON LJ?!  I HAVE A REPORT TO DO!      Hmmm let's just check my f-list, browse some communities....

English essay?  F.O.D., plz.  Kthx.

If anyone's interested, the question relates to The Coma by Alex Garland (author of The Beach and writer of 28 Days Later's screenplay) and is,
"What is in the briefcase?"

WTF?!  I HATE YOU. VAGUE QUESTIONS ARE STUPID.

On another note...
Prosh next Wednesday!   :D

I got an iProsh shirt. <3  Guess how.

Nope, you're all wrong.  I won it by doing the beep test.   That's right.  I Sal, the most unfit person in the history of the universe, voluntarily did the beep test.   Granted, it was about half the length of the normal one, I still got to level 17 - something.  (Considering my PB is around 4, that's an achievement)   The only reason I even got out was that when they realised at level 14 than no-one was going to drop out they started setting up obstacles, like people walking around in the way.  I was blocked by a guy with a wheelie-bin ffs.  Rawr.  Sal smash.
I finally bought Bullet in a Bible after wanting it for like a year.
Also:
MCR is rumoured to be returning around the end of the year.  Yes, please.

If for some reason I don't see anyone, though I don't know how I wouldn't,

HEAPS OF GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE FOR THEIR EXAMS!!!!

Double luck to those who have their applic TEE tomorrow (ie, ME)

Triple luck to those who have their applic AND drama studies tomorrow, then physics on Tuesday (ie, ME!)

Just infinite luck to me, actually...

Hopefully you all haven't been like I have - doing shit-all in terms of study, and instead watching YouTube GooTube and chatting on MSN. Seriously, I studied harder for year 11 end-of-year exams.  YA RLY.

ONLY TWO WEEKS TO GO!!!!  (Except Alex who has Jap the following week, frown.)  SAW III, here I come!  Then LEAVERS.

Also:  If anyone sees me on msn and I'm talking to you, tell me to STOP AND STUDY.

Mocks = Blah.

Biology: Pretty good except for the loooooong "short answer" section, which ultimately affected hw much time I had to write extended answers - try doing four in thirty minutes. XP

Lit: Not great, but not slit-my-wrists crap, except for my Frankenstein essay.  Medea was surprisingly better than the poetry one, I feel.

Discrete: Could have been better.  The questions were okay, but I wasn't.  I think there'll be a high average.  Boo.

Applic:  !$#%^&*(&^%$#!@~ BAD.  Thend.

Drama: Pretty bad.  I don't think I answered the questions very well.  Essays = major suckage.

Physics:  Crap, but less crap than I thought it would be considering I didn't study at all, and had lost some applets/notes from my calculator. Hopefully a pass - which is all I'm asking for.  (For those who don't know, my school average is about 56%  Uh oh spaghetti-Os.  Hence, I don't think I'll be counting it!

Physics prac:  Pretty good, though I didn't have time to draw the graph and my Young's Modulus turned out to be x10^6 as opposed to around  x10^11, whoops?  At least I got full marks on what they had to mark then and there.  So there are four marks guaranteed.  : )

I'm pissed about Applic though, which I was planning on counting.
